Freezing temperatures grip Kazakhstan on Monday

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Meteorologists predict that cold spell will grip most regions of Kazakhstan today. Disturbed weather will bring snow, fog, ice sleet, blizzard and bleak wind to eastern and western Kazakhstan, according to Kazhydromet.
Gusts of wind will reach 28 meters per second in some areas of East Kazakhstan region. Snowstorm and ice slick are to take hold of the region as well. Stiff wind, fog and blizzard are expected in Zhambyl, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions. Strong wind will blow through Kyzylorda, Aktobe, Pavlodar, Akmola, Karaganda, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan and Almaty regions. South Kazakhstan and Mangystau regions will be steeped in fog.
