Frankfurt airport strike to last an extra day
The strike by the workers who guide planes began on Friday, causing hundreds of flights to be cancelled since then, the Euronews reports.
More than 200 planes will not be taking off or landing at Frankfurt Airport on Monday, with only 70 per cent of scheduled flights operating.
Passengers on international flights are mainly unaffected.
One man at the airport said: "As long as I can still fly, I don't care. If my flight gets cancelled, I might gradually start minding."
Another said he thought the staff are asking for too much money: "I'm sympathetic towards increasing the salaries, but the numbers I've seen so far seem to be shameless."
Air traffic controllers union GdF has been locked in a row with airport operators Fraport.
Workers want a pay rise of between 25 per cent and 50 per cent for the increased workload brought about by the introduction of a fourth runway at Europe's third busiest airport.
