France, Spain to use Kyrgyz air base

BISHKEK. October 5. KAZINFORM A Kyrgyz parliamentary committee will consider draft agreements allowing France and Spain to use the Manas airbase for the transit of troops and supplies to Afghanistan; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
The country's international affairs and inter-parliamentary cooperation committee will review a draft treaty between Kyrgyzstan and France on the deployment of a French Air Force unit and a draft treaty with Spain on the use of the Manas base in Kyrgyzstan.
In July, Kyrgyzstan ratified an agreement with the U.S. to establish a transit center at Manas international airport "to address the situation in and around Afghanistan"; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
