Foreign Ministers of Lithuania and Kazakhstan met

ASTANA. June 8. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ ?Kazakhstan remains important country for Lithuania, Baltic states and the EU?, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Vygaudas Usackas has said today at the meeting with his Kazakh colleague – Kazakh Foreign Minister Marat Tazhin.
As the foreign guest noted, the cooperation between two countries has comprehensive sense and content. ?We are interested in the further promotion of the bilateral relations with Kazakhstan that is the main economic partner in Central Asia for us?, V.Usackas noted.
?We have common interests in the preparation of our countries for the OSCE chairmanship in 2010 and 2011. We are glad that Kazakhstan will be the first country of the region to chair the Organization. We will promote our initiatives within the OSCE together?, the Head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said.
The official two-day visit of the Lithuanian Foreign Minister to Kazakhstan has begun today. Bilateral meetings with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov and Head of the OSCE Center in Astana Aleksandr Kelchevskiy are planned within his visit.
