Foreign Ministers of Caspian States to discuss preparations for Caspian Summit

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Foreign Ministers of Caspian states will discuss in Moscow on April 22 preparations for the fourth Caspian summit, which will take place this fall in the Russian city of Astrakhan, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry's website.

The summit will gather Foreign Affairs Ministers of Kazakhstan - Yerlan Idrissov, Russia - Sergey Lavrov, Azerbaijan - Elmar Mammadyarov, Iran - Mohammad Javad Zarif, and Turkmenistan - Rashid Meredov. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the round table will focus on the preparation for the fourth Caspian summit, which will take place in autumn 2014 in Astrakhan. The ministers will discuss the programme and agenda, as well as drafts of final documents. They will analyse the work of local experts on implementation of decisions, the previous summit /in Baku, in 2010/ made, in the spheres like a modern legal status of the Caspian Sea, security and response to common challenges and threats, environment, rational use of water biological resources, prevention and overcoming emergency situations.
