Foreign experts inform Kazakh colleagues on the work of investigative judges

The seminar was organized in the framework of a single state plan on transition to a new model of criminal and criminal procedure codes approved by Presidential decree as of April 9, 2014.

The seminar's organizers are the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan, the Union of Judges of Kazakhstan, the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation and representative of the American Bar Association (ABA CEELI).

The event involved the chairman of the supervisory judicial board on criminal cases of the Supreme Court Akyltay Kassimov, chairman of the Union of Judges Serik Baibatyrov, judges of the Supreme Court, as well reps of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Interior Ministry.

There have been invited a number of foreign experts including Head of Narva court house Innkentiy Menshikov (Estonia); the investigating judge of the district court of Hanover, head of the investigative judges Andre Simon (Germany); the judge of the district court of the city of Bonn, the investigating judge Jan Kraus (Germany). In addition, Chargé d'Affaires in Kazakhstan, Ambassador John Ordway will make a speech at the seminar.
