Foreign Affairs Ministry: Kazakhstan invited to partake in 9th WIEF

ASTANA. July 24. KAZINFORM - Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Malaysia Daniar Sarekenov met with Secretary General of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) Tan Sri Abdul Razak Ahmad Fusi, the press service of the Foreign Ministry informs.

The meeting was marked by positive experience of cooperation. The two sides exchanged views on the prospects for further collaboration, given the increasing economic role of Asia in the global economy.

"The WIEF Secretary-General, noting Kazakhstan as a reliable partner and active participant in the Forum, invited the Kazakh side to take part in the upcoming 9th WIEF themed "Changing World: A new relationship," which will be held 29-31 October 2013 in London, " says the press release of the Foreign Ministry.

A.Fuzi said that at the upcoming London forum are expected to attend Heads of State and Government of the countries of the Middle East, South and South-East Asia, and Africa.

NOTE: WIEF was created at the 11th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which took place in 2003 in Putrajaya (Malaysia), as a platform for dialogue to discuss the possibilities of business cooperation between Muslim countries.
