First serial plane An-148 presented in Voronezh

VORONEZH. July 28. KAZINFORM The presentation of the first Russian-Ukrainian serial plane Antonov An-148-100B was held in Voronezh on Tuesday. Director General of the Voronezh-based VASO Aircraft Production Association JSC Vitaly Zubarev told journalists that "the event marks the beginning of certification tests of the first serial plane" built at this enterprise, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

Representatives of the Russian United Aircraft Corporation that incorporated VASO, Ilyushin Finance leasing company, the Ukrainian plants Aviant and Motor Sich, as well as several Russian aircraft companies, attended the presentation.

The An-148-100B plane made with the use of modern digital technologies, noted the VASO head. The plane is controlled by two crewmembers, its large-diameter cabin with comfortable placement of seats is very convenient for passengers. "Together with another plane - Superjet-100 that was also built by a Russian enterprise, Russian air companies will be able to win not only regional routes, but also enter the external transportation market," believes Zubarev.
