First section of Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent gas pipeline to be launched in Oct 2013

ASTANA. August 1. KAZINFORM The first section of the gas pipeline "Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent" will be launched in October 2013, acting chairman of JSC "KazMunayGas" Daniyar Berlibayev said at a meeting on the first halfyear results of work of the subsidiaries of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna".
"The first project that we have to launch this year is the first section of the pipeline "Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent". Everything is going according to the plan, in October 2013 we will launch this project. The work is ahead of schedule, all the tests have been carried out," he said.
In the current year JSC "KazMunayGas" had to put into operation two projects worth 1.4 billion U.S. dollars: the first section of the pipeline "Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent" and the construction of a plant for the production of aromatics in Atyrau.
However, for a number of reasons the second project will not be launched this year.
