First Lady of Kazakhstan received high award for contribution to protection of maternity and childhood

ALMATY. August 19. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ First Lady of Kazakhstan Sara Nazarbayeva has been presented "Stars of Commonwealth" award for protection of maternity and childhood. The award has been given by Minister of Education and Science Zhansseit Tuimebayev in Almaty today prior to beginning of a two-day conference entitled Role and importance of 'Self-knowledge' subject in educational process of Kazakhstani educational institutions: experience and prospects. As is known, the project was initiated by S. Nazarbayeva.
It was noted that the award approved by the Humanitarian Cooperation Council and the CIS Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation had been presented earlier to the worthiest representatives of the Commonwealth states. These are the persons who gained general recognition for achievements in science, education, culture, arts and humanitarian activity. Among the laureates are composers Alexander Pakhmutov, David Tukhmanov, poet Nikolay Dorbronravov etc.
