Fire emergency situation regime imposed in 13 Russian regions

MOSCOW. August 4. KAZINFORM An emergency situation regime because of wildfires has been imposed in seven Russian regions and partially in six other regions, the Federal Forestry Agency (Rosleskhoz) reported on Tuesday.
It said this year "23,900 fires have been registered in Russia, which is 24 percent more than during the same period last year". Fires have been fixed all in all on the area of more than 744,000 hectares, an agency report said.
It said a ban on visiting forests or entry of vehicles into forests has been imposed in 45 Russian regions, Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
