Fire destroys 15, 000 ha of pasture, dozens of sheep in Atyrau rgn

ATYRAU. KAZINFORM - Fire, destroyed 15 thousand hectares of pasture and dozens of sheep, has been extinguished in Atyrau region.
Steppe fire occurred in a remote area in Zhangildinskiy rural district. Due to strong winds and recent dry weather conditions, it took two days to locate the fire. Apart from the usual technique fire fighters had to use "MI-8" helicopter. According to the press service of Atyrau region Emergency Department, the total area of pastures covered with fire was 15 thousand hectares. There were victims reported. However, fire has killed 26 sheep. Fire was fully extinguished.
