Finnish Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kinnunen awarded a diploma of Kazakhstan

Presenting the state award, the Kazakh Ambassador Galymjan Koyshybaev on behalf of the Head of State expressed his gratitude to the Finnish diplomat for his significant contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between our two countries.

In turn, the Finnish diplomat expressed his sincere gratitude to the Kazakh leadership for the support of his activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan as an ambassador.

In 2009 M.Kinnunen became the first Finnish Ambassador with residence in Kazakhstan, as well as the first representative of his country in the Central Asian region.

The opening of the Embassy of Finland in Astana has become one of the outcomes of the agreements of Heads of State during the first state visit of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Helsinki in March 2009.
