Finland's businessmen keen to cooperate with Kazakhstan - President Sauli Niinistö

The two leaders touched upon a wide variety of issues related to the bilateral cooperation and the agenda of the 3rd Nuclear Security Summit. According to President Nazarbayev, the Kazakhstani-Finnish interaction has significantly strengthened after the last year's visit of President Niinistö to Astana. Sales turnover between the two nations is growing steadily. And Kazakhstan is quite interested in the Finnish technologies in terms of economic and industrial development of our country. Mr. Niinistö, in turn, thanked the Kazakh President for an opportunity to meet on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit. He also stressed his visit to the Kazakh capital was of paramount importance for both countries. In his words, Finish business circles are keen to cooperate with Kazakhstani companies. NOTE: Kazakhstan and Finland established diplomatic relations on May 13, 1992. Sales turnover between the two countries reached $1 billion last year.
