Fiji announces plans to open honorary consulates in Kazakhstan

Robin Nair, Fiji's non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan, announced the decision to open the honorary consulates in the country during a meeting with chairman of the Tourism Industry Commission under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Mr. Marat Igaliyev. The sides also discussed Fiji's experience in stimulation and attraction of investments into tourism projects. The Kazakh side extended an invitation for its colleagues from Fiji to visit the Astana Economic Forum and the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017. Ambassador Nair, in turn, invited Kazakhstani partners to attend the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development in June. In addition, M. Igaliyev said the sides agreed to conclude a memorandum of mutual cooperation in the sphere of tourism between Kazakhstan and Fiji to boost bilateral ties between the nations.
