Earthquakes below 3-magnitude are hardly perceptible, and most of them can only be recorded by nearby seismographs.

After a 5.6-magnitude quake jolted the eastern Cuban province of Guantanamo on Saturday, the National Seismological Service recorded several aftershocks perceived by residents in the provinces of Santiago de Cuba, Guantanamo, Granma and Holguin.

The National Earthquake Research Center, the DC and the central administrative agencies of the state are closely monitoring the situation, said the report, Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com for full version.
