FC Shakhtyor's budget in 2013 exceeded USD 13 million

Karaganda. December 12. KAZINFORM - The budget of Karaganda's football club Shakhtyor this year amounted to approximately 2 billion tenge (more than 13 million U.S. dollars), said Natalia Sukhorukova, head of Karaganda region's Department of Physical Culture and Sports.
"This year's budget of Shakhtyor was about 2 billion tenge. Every year we sign a contract with Shakhtyor as the club signs it with footballers. We determine the fulfillment of certain criteria. Once they are met and another step upwards must be made, we allocate additional funds," - said N. Sukhorukova answering questions from journalists at today's briefing in the regional administration.
According to her, initial funding of FC Shakhtyor was supposed to be 1.4 billion tenge. The head of the department also said that Shakhtyor footballers earn USD 10 000 a month. "Salaries differ from player to player - from 2 000 to 10 000 US dollars depending on the level of a footballer,"- N. Sukhorukova explained.
