FACF meeting discusses logistics products in Central Asia

The round table was attended by representatives of «KAZLOGISTICS» Transport Workers' Union of Kazakhstan, Association of national freight forwarders, Union of International Road Carriers of Kazakhstan, Association of International Road Carriers of Azerbaijan, Chinese International Freight Forwarders' Association and others. In addition, the meeting was visited by representatives of the Asian Development Bank.

In addition to the general meeting there was carried out a forum on the development of business contacts and a seminar on the management of the supply chain, logistics and standards of FIATA (Federation Internationale des Associations des Transporteurs et Assimiles). The seminar was given in the format of a round table which discussed the establishment of logistics products in Central Asia.

General meeting addressed the issues of creating an investment logistics fund of CAREC, its organizational structure, the direction of investments (infrastructure, investment in equipment, financial services and technical support), as well as questions about MMEC (measuring and monitoring the effectiveness of the CAREC Transport Corridors) implementation for promoting trade of the CAREC countries.

Transport Workers' Union of Kazakhstan was represented by its CEO Erkhat Iskaliyev and Executive Director Kanat Mukushev.
