Extreme temperatures expected across western Kazakhstan in coming days

The National Weather Service Kazhydromet has released its weather forecast for Kazakhstan for June 18-20, 2026, Qazinform News Agency reports.
In the coming days, the main weather-forming factors will be the passage of atmospheric fronts and the influence of an upper-level trough, resulting in unstable weather conditions across most of Kazakhstan.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. Heavy rainfall is forecast in northern, southern, southeastern, and central regions of the country, accompanied by possible hail and strong winds.
In western Kazakhstan, extremely hot weather is expected on June 19-20, with temperatures reaching 40-43 degrees Celsius. The Mets also forecast steady temperatures across the country.
