Export potential of Kazakhstan grain to make 7-8 mln tons - Minister Kurishbayev

ANA. July 20. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Taking into consideration grain residues Kazakhstan's export potential will make 7-8 mln tons in 2009 that is 2 mln tons more against the previous year, Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev has said at the Government's telephone conference today.
According to him, Transcaucasia, Central Asian countries, Iran and Afghanistan will remain main importers of the Kazakh grain. Besides, yield depression in Ukraine this year may open new export opportunities for Kazakhstan, he noted.
Kazakhstan will probably revive export of grain through the Black Sea ports, the Minister added.
