Export contracts worth $620 mln signed within Industrialization Program

ASTANA. July 11. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan intensively develops non-primary sector by rendering service and financial support to domestic enterprises - potential exporter. Export contracts worth 620 million U.S. dollars were signed as a result of state support, Pm.kz site informs.

A complex system of export support and development is established within the industrialization program which is implemented by the Government on the instruction of the President.

"KAZNEX Invest" National Agency for Export and Investments works on development and promotion of the national non-primary export in two directions: service and financial support.

About 60 special activities presenting Kazakhstani goods and brands, 14 trade missions, meetings of suppliers and customers in more than 20 countries were organized within "Exporter - 2020" Program. 67 Kazakhstani exporters participated in 50 foreign exhibitions. As a result of these activities, export contracts worth 620 million U.S. dollars were signed.

In accordance with the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, 81 national exporters received compensation for their expenses for promotion of products at the foreign markets. Over 1.5 thousand entrepreneurs receive state support.

Such products as transformers, accumulators, agricultural machineries, oil and gas equipment, metal and plastic pipes fertilizers, construction materials, etc. refer to non-primary export.

As the National Agency for Export and Investments reports, the foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan made 30.9 billion U.S. dollars over the first quarter of 2012. This is 34.1% more than in the corresponding period of 2011. Thereat, the export of Kazakhstan increased by 32.3%, while import - by 38.8%.
