EXPO Village in Astana to be built in Esil district

Its construction is to be in Esil district of the capital, between Kabanbay batyr avenue, Husein ben Talal, Orynbor and Ryskulov streets. The works will start in spring 2014. This has been reported on December 5 by the chairman of the board of the JSC “NC “Astana EXPO-2017” Talgat Ermegiyaev.

“The first thing to start is to transfer utility networks. But the most important thing will be a unique building which is to be worked out for three years, the main venue situated in the center, there are no similar objects in the world”, told he.

Pavilion of Kazakhstan in the form of a sphere with a total area of 24 000 sqm will become a symbol of “EXPO-2017” exhibition. It will be situated in the center of the exposition town surrounded by international, thematic and corporate pavilions. It’s worth noting that construction of EXPO-2017 objects will be started in spring 2014. “We understand all the responsibility; EXPO-2017 is the event of national importance, and active participation of Kazakhstani citizens is a ticket to success. For our part we’re doing our best to present EXPO-2017 to the whole world on the highest level”, noted T. Ermegiyaev.
