EXPO-2017 to spur development of science in Kazakhstan: Yermegiyayev

"There are a lot of initiatives in renewable energy that are being either developed or implemented in the country. In this context, the concept of Kazakhstan's transition to 'green economy' endorsed by the President is one of the main instruments in the provision of the country's sustainable development. And the EXPO event is a next step in the implementation of that concept," Mr. Yermegiyayev told Miras magazine.

In his opinion, the energy of sun, wind and thermal waters will become a practice for people of Kazakhstan soon. During the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017, Kazakhstan can not only adopt practices of other countries, but also share its unique experience with the world - to become a country with healthy economy, healthy ecology and healthy people. In general, the theme of the EXPO-2017 event "Energy of the future" will facilitate the development of science and technology in the sphere of alternative energy in Kazakhstan.
