EXPO-2017 to make Astana demonstration platform for 3rd industrial revolution achievements - Minister N.Kapparov

ASTANA. April 12. KAZINFORM - "EXPO-2017" will make Astana a demonstration platform for third industrial revolution achievements. This opinion was expressed by Nurlan Kapparov, the Minister of Environmental Protection, at the conference called "Creating a green economy in Kazakhstan" held in "Radisson" hotel.

"Kazakhstan is planning to host an international exhibition EXPO in Astana in 2017 titled "Energy for the future." It will address issues regarding energy consumption in the world. We hope that it will help the international community to find solutions to energy problems. EXPO 2017 will create an unprecedented opportunity for our city to become a leader in this important area. We want Astana to be known not only as the geographic center of the Eurasian continent, but as a regional center of technological, scientific and cultural exchange between Asia and Europe ," said N.Kapparov.

Kazakh Minister mentioned that the world is waiting for commercially viable products and Astana can become a platform where the latest achievements of science and technology will be displayed.

In his words, "EXPO 2017" will give opportunity for making transformation, both technological and cultural, in the Central Asia and beyond.
