EXPO-2017: Kazakhstanis to see 'energy of the future'

ASTANA. March 26. KAZINFORM Kazakhstanis could see "energy of the future", President of Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan Aigul Solovyeva has said today during the press conference.

"EXPO-2017" will give a powerful boost to the country's transition to "green" way of development. World's best achievements of science and technology will be presented in the capital. Many Kazakhstanis could see "energy of the future" by their own eyes," President of Kazakhstan's Civil Alliance said.

As earlier reported, Astana had won the right to host international exhibition "EXPO-2017."

Astana's application was supported by 103 BIE member countries. Our main competitor - the Belgian city Liege - received 44 votes. In its request Belgium proposed the theme "Bringing people together."

"EXPO -2017" in Astana there will be the first international exhibition, which is held in the Central Asian region and the CIS countries. The exhibition will last for three months - from June 10 to September 10, 2017. It is expected that during the time of Astana "EXPO -2017" it will be visited by about 5 million people from 100 countries.
