EXPO-2017 construction companies to be free from corporate income tax

This has been reported by Vice - Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Madina Abylkasymova during the discussion of the draft law "On introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts on the organization and conduct of the International specialized exhibition EXPO -2017 in Astana" at the extended meeting of the Committee on Economic Development and Entrepreneurship of the Senate.

"In order to fulfill the commitments made in the framework of the competition among the candidate countries to host EXPO -2017 the bill contains amendments to the Tax Code, providing for the national company "Astana EXPO -2017" to be free from the corporate income tax, land tax and the establishment of a reduced rate of property tax, at a rate of 0.1 percent to the tax base", said Madina Abylkasymova.

In addition she said, there is a provision for organizations engaged in the design and construction of the EXPO 2017 for exemption from CIT. The list of such companies will be worked out by a separate decision of the Government.
