EXPO-2017 Commissioner Zhoshybayev had bilateral meetings in Munich

In Munich, July 11-12, held bilateral meetings the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the commissioner of the International specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017" Rapil Zhoshybayev with the Deputy Commissioner General of Expo 2000 in Hanover, the head of «Messe München GmbH» Norbert Bargmann, President of Bavarian Council for Economic Promotion Otto Viskhoi, as well as the leadership of a number of leading companies in the federal state of Bavaria in sphere of alternative energy, energy efficient and "green" technologies, reconstruction and modernization of urban infrastructure within Smart City projects.

The representatives of the Bavarian businesses were informed about the preparations for "Expo-2017" in Astana, as well as opportunities to participate in implementation of the national project. In particular, Mr. Zhoshybayev stressed that Kazakhstan was interested in bringing to the country the world's foremost technology related to the theme of the exhibition "Energy of the Future", which Bavarian companies have.

German entrepreneurs noted that Kazakhstan was for them a very promising and attractive market, not only because of the presence in the country of favorable environmental conditions (sun, wind, etc.) for development of alternative energy and a fantastic location in the heart of Eurasia, but also because of the large attention and support from the leadership of the country's transition to a "green" economy.

The decision to hold EXPO 2017 in Astana has become, in their recognition, an additional stimulus for implementation in Kazakhstan of its long-term projects, also including in the framework of the exhibition, the results of which will be targeted in the future to other regions of the country, as well as the potential markets of neighboring countries.

Mr. Bargman as part of the conversation has shared experience of the Expo in Hanover in 2000. The parties have discussed in detail a wide range of issues on organization of the exhibition in Astana. Following the meeting the head of the company «Deutsche Messe» announced about the intention to take an active part in the Expo in the capital of Kazakhstan in 2017.
