EXPO-2017 art installation presented in Paris

The event was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Intent concluded between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the French Republic, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

On Sunday the Theatre des Champs Elysees in Paris performed "Abai" opera by Ahmet Zhubanov and Latifa Hamidi. "Abai" opera is one of the best achievements of opera in Kazakhstan. The premiere of "Abai" took place on December 24, 1944 in Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet House named after Abay (Abai Opera House).

For its rich 80-year history Abai Opera House repeatedly toured Europe and Asia including Germany, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Turkey, China and others. Actors of the theater are the winners of the most prestigious competitions of vocalists and ballet dancers.

It should be noted that on the same day EXPO-2017 art installation was presented in Paris. The art installation, made from environmentally friendly materials in the traditional style, displayed the theme of the exhibition - "Energy of the Future".
