Explosion hits train in S Russia's Dagestan

A bomb exploded at around 6 a.m. Moscow time (0300 GMT) under the electric locomotive of the train No. 374, which was traveling from West Siberia's Tyumen to the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, Itar-Tass quoted the police as saying.

The eight-car train was able to continue its trip as the explosion didn't damage the tracks nor derail the train, said the police.

The incident occurred less than three days after a bomb blast derailed an express train en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg and claimed the lives of 26 people; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
