Experts to discuss CIS cooperation prospects in taxation
Participants of the meeting will discuss CIS cooperation prospects in the taxation field and the tasks of the coordination council related directly to the area. The meeting will also focus on the progress made in the implementation of the decisions adopted at the previous meeting and the council's plans for 2014.
Besides, the participants of the meeting are expected to consider the issue of giving the status of the CIS basic organization in training, retraining and enhancement of qualifications to the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and the National University of State Tax Service of Ukraine.
Members of the council will take stock of the progress made in the implementation of the action plan for the second phase (2012-2015) of the CIS economic development strategy through 2020 as well as consider practices used in tax regulation of the innovation and investment activity in the CIS.
The heads of the tax services will assess the need to update the provisions of the CIS agreements on cooperation and mutual assistance in tax compliance and the fight against violations in taxation, agreements on the principles of levying indirect taxes in the export and import of goods (works, services) between the CIS member states. The participants of the meeting will also analyze the main parameters of the CIS tax systems, the level of tax burden on the economy of these countries and the results of the application of simplified (special) tax regimes by small business entities in 2011-2012, BelTA reports.
The participants of the meeting will also talk over ministerial cooperation of the CIS tax services with banks, migration services, law enforcement services and approaches in establishing the duty of taxpayers-individuals to pay property taxes and providing preferences to certain categories of taxpayers.
