How was Mayhem born?
Work on Mayhem began in 2022, during the global tour for The Chromatica Ball. Months before the official announcement of the album, Lady Gaga shared photos from the recording studio on social media. "Disease" — originally released as the lead single on October 25, 2024, this dark pop, electropop song, inspired by the singer’s inner demons, is accompanied by a powerful visual narrative. Throughout the video, various versions of herself engage in conflicts, dances, and embraces, reflecting Gaga's struggle and acceptance of her darker facets.
"Die With a Smile" — A collaboration between Gaga and Bruno Mars, which has become one of the biggest hits of her career.
