EuroChem to invest USD 40 mln in development of social sphere of mining towns in Zhambyl region

The fact that forum was held in Taraz meant a lot and should give an impetus for development of business in the region, Y. Murzagaliyev noted.

According to him, construction of a Phosphate Fertilizer Plant is planned in Karatau. The Plant is expected to produce 2 mln tons of product per year which will provide several thousands new jobs.

The Project provides for establishment of special infrastructure in the region, staff training, construction of kindergartens and housing. "People who are to be involved in the process of construction will be provided all conveniences", the Director General emphasized.

The Russian investor is going to invest USD 4 bln which, USD 300 mln out of which will be spent for development of infrastructure of Karatau till 2015. During the first stage of the construction USD 1.5 bln is planned to be invested.
