Eurasian Economic Union draft agreement to be prepared by 2014 - K.Kelimbetov

During the meeting K.Kelimbetov told the President about the main areas of work in macroeconomic and fiscal spheres, as well as the activities of the financial sector of the country.

In addition, the sides discussed issues of further improving customs and trade policy.

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that K.Kelimbetov acts as the person responsible for integration in the Eurasian area.

"In the light of approaching summit in late May it is necessary to review the results of the ongoing negotiations and to determine the protection level of Kazakhstani interests. It is either required to observe the state of the economy and the pace of its development", the Kazakh President said.

K.Kelimbetov informed Nursultan Nazarbayev that in the frame of preparation for the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council of the three heads of the Customs Union and Common Economic Space member states there have been regular sessions at the level of deputy prime ministers of the above mentioned three countries.

"First of all, the treaty of Eurasian Economic Union is in the process of preparation. Codification of the existing legal framework in a single document is planned. By the end of 2014 we will prepare for the three countries Parliaments consideration the document which would be agreed by all three parties. In addition, the summit will provide the consideration of the main directions of further integration", said K.Kelimbetov.

Following the meeting, the Head of the State has given a number of specific instructions on the topics taken into consideration.
