Eurasian Economic Commission to discuss Belarus proposal to even out TV import duties

MOSCOW. January 29. KAZINFORM The board and the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission will discuss Belarus' proposal to even out import duties on TV sets, Mr Yuri Armand, Aide for Public Relations of the Trade Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission reported.

"The Advisory Committee for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission has approved the proposal of the Belarusian side to even out import duties on television sets with liquid crystal and plasma displays, including TV sets with video equipment, and set them at 16% of the customs value," said the official.
He remarked that the decision will help improve both customs administration and the competitive ability of merchandise.
