Eurasia Kazakh insurance company reinsures Boeing again
Under the reinsurance agreement the company covers all risks of direct physical loss including business interruption for the total sum of USD 69,937,813,689. The limit of "Eurasia" JSC liability is 5% of the total sum insured.

Recall that March 8, 2014 flight MH370, operated on the B777-200 aircraft, departed Kuala Lumpur at 12.41am. MH370 was expected to land in Beijing at 6.30am the same day. The flight was carrying a total number of 227 passengers (including 2 infants), 12 crew members. The plane vanished with 239 passengers aboard.
The Telegraph newspaper then reported that insurers were already carrying out insurance benefits and the aircraft was reinsured by group of insurance / reinsurance companies headed by the German giant ‘Allianz'. Other reinsurers were GIC Re, Hannover Re, Lonpac Insurance, Malaysian Re and Kazakhstan Insurance Company "Eurasia".
