ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Canadian Eugenie Bouchard has been named the WTA Most Improved Player of the Year, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
"I'm honored to be voted the WTA Most Improved Player of the Year. My goal is to try to improve every single day, and I feel like I did that this year. But while I'm proud of my accomplishments, I've already set new goals I want to strive to reach next year," Bouchard said. The 20-year-old Bouchard became the first Canadian in history to reach the Wimbledon final and the second Canadian to reach semifinals at the Australian Open and French Open. Her successful run in 2014 propelled her to №7 in the world.
