EU to allocate additional EUR 10 mln to Japan

BRUSSELS. April 5. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ The European Commission decided to give additional EUR 10 mln to the victims of the devastating quake and powerful tsunami in Japan. Thus, the total volume of aid provided by the EU makes EUR 15 mln, the press service of the European Commission informs.
These funds will be spent for rendering aid to more than 30, 000 Japanese people who are living currently in shelters and feel need in foods, water, blankets and other necessary care. The funds will be distributed through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent.
