Establishment of CIS Center for Preservation of World Cultural Heritage to be discussed in Minsk

MINSK. January 26. KAZINFORM /Aituar Mamlin/ A session of the Working group on development of a concept of establishment of the CIS Center for Preservation of World Cultural Heritage will be held today in Minsk, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee said.
The development of this document is provided by the action plan in the sphere of humanitarian cooperation for 2011-2012 that was approved by the Heads of Government last November in St. Petersburg. The Center is planned to be established on the base of the UNESCO Chair in Urban and Architectural Conservation (Moscow).
The Center will deal with popularization of the world cultural heritage sites, joining together efforts in elaboration of the methodological principles of preservation and restoration of the world cultural heritage sites, etc.
