ESCAP appreciates Kazakhstan's laws aimed at competition development

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) appreciates Kazakhstan's laws in the sphere of competition, this has been stated by Executive Secretary of ESCAP, Shamshad Akhtar during the 47th meeting of the Asian Development Bank.
"Since 2008 Kazakhstan's rank in "Ease of Doing Business" has risen from 81st to 50th position. I think that in the coming years this figure will improve. This may be due to the fact that Kazakhstan has important and effective laws in the field of integrated development of competition", she said. Shamshad Akhtar also expressed the hope that in the future Kazakhstan will take a leading position transiting energy and scientific hub of Asia.
