ERG allocates more than KZT 600 million for social projects of Karaganda rgn

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - ERG (Eurasian Resources Group) will allocate more than KZT 60 million for social projects of Karaganda region, the press service of the company reports.

"In December 2013 ERG completed the deal on acquisition of ENRC (Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation PLC) and allocated more than KZT 600 million for Karaganda region social projects developments. Funding is being provided by "ENRC Komek" corporate fund, "TNK" Kazchrome" JSC, "Zhairemskiy Mining and processing complex" JSC, "Shubarkol komir" JSC, which are the members of the ENRC - subsidiary of the ERG", the statement reads. According to the press service, the company continues to finance projects aimed at the development of health, education, culture and sports, as well as to support people in need of social protection. Memorandum of cooperation in the implementation of social projects in 2014 has been signed by the CEO ERG Luxembourg Benedict Sobotka and Akim of Karaganda region Baurzhan Abdishev.
