Equal income gas prices for Single Economic Space unlikely by 2015

The Customs Union member states are to enable equal income prices for gas as from 1 January 2015. "But it is impossible to guarantee today that it will happen. I think it is unlikely the Single Economic Space countries will be ready for it," he said.

In line with the Belarusian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on pricing natural gas deliveries to Belarus and gas transportation across the country, if the sides fail to enable equal income prices for gas by 1 January 2015, the Belarusian side and Gazprom will use the formula that will be in effect till 2014 inclusive. The price will still be lower than equal income prices, concluded the official.
