Electricity tariff in Astana increased by 8.9% since January 1, 2014
The tariff increase is reasoned by increase of the prime cost of the electricity-producing organization in Astana city since January 1, 2014 by 15.3% on the average, as well as growth of tariffs of outside electricity suppliers by 6.9%.
Therefore, the average prime electricity tariff for consumers amounts to:
- For the population - 10.57 KZT/kWh ex VAT;
- For other consumers - 13.64 KZT/kWh ex VAT.
Based on these average prime tariffs, the ADNMC of Astana city also approved differential tariffs for electricity according to time zones and consumption.
While calculating the differential tariffs there is reduction of the minimal tariff due to electricity saving by consumers and lowering of consumption size in comparison with the past year.
As a result, the minimal tariff for the population has reduced by 4.86% for consumption up to 70kW without the use of electric stoves; and by 3.93% for consumption up to 90 kW using electric stoves. At the same time the tariff for other consumers has been lowered by 12.47% for consumption up to 90 kW using electric stoves.
