Electricity consumption reduced in Astana

ASTANA. November 1. KAZINFORM In the capital, following the results of the current year, electric power consumption is predicted to be 56 mln.kWh or 9% less than in 2012. This and other data was announced at a session under the chairmanship of the deputy akim of Astana city Vasily Krylov. The main topic of the session was execution of investment measures under a program of energy saving of the MUS "Astana su arnasy".

This information was given to astana.kz in the sustainment and infrastructure development department of Astana city akim's central office.

A range of measures has been taken in the city leading to reduction of electricity consumption manifold.

"As of today equipment has been installed for the automated system of control and accountability of power resources, and energy-saving devices have been placed at sites for water supply and wastewater disposal, as well as diesel generators and electric equipment at Sewage pumping stations and Water pump stations, and diesel generators and oil-cooled transformers at Astana hydroelectric complex", - it is reported in the message.

In addition, equipment has been changed at heat meters of the central base of the pumping filtration plant. It's worth noting that in comparison with 2011, when objects of the MUS "Astana su arnasy" consumed electric power in the amount of 70 mln.kWh, in 2012, consumption amounted to 61 mln.kWh, reducing by 13%, Kazinform refers to astana.kz.
