Election of akims: 1,062,327 put on voter’s list

There are 1,491 district and city election districts engaged in the election of akims (governors) countrywide, Kazinform Agency learnt from the Kazakh Central Election Commission.
As of 07:00 a.m. all 1,491 district and city election precincts started voting.
Districts in five regions, including Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and Mangistau regions opened at 08:00 a.m. Atana time due to various time zones in the territory of Kazakhstan.
1,062,327 people are put on the voter’s list.
The election stations are open from 07:00 a.m. until 08:00 p.m. local time.
As earlier reported, the first-ever elections of akims (governors) of districts and cities of regional significance started in Kazakhstan.
