Election campaign in Kazakhstan goes orderly – expert

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM - The election campaign in Kazakhstan goes orderly, Director General of the Russian Political Environment Center Sergey Mikheyev told a Kazinform correspondent on the sidelines of "Kazakhstan's Way: Stability and Sustainable Development Factors" conference held in Moscow.
"As an expert I analyze the situation and can say that Nursultan Nazarbayev is a candidate whom the majority of Kazakhstanis trust. This is an impartial reality," S.Mikheyev said. According to the expert, the current situation in Kazakhstan is quite consistent with democratic principles as long as democracy, as he noted, implies foreseeable development and strong support of the voters. "Democracy is when a real leader wins," S.Mikheyev said. Besides, the expert believes that the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan will have a positive impact on the Eurasian integration.
