El-Yurt Umidi Foundation of Uzbekistan and University of Sydney sign memo of cooperation
Acting Deputy Executive Director of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation Javokhir Akhmedov met with the Director of the International Department at the University of Sydney Tim Field, International Recruitment Manager Halil Evecan and specialist Gabriel Radu, in Tashkent, UzA reports.
At the meeting, Mr. Akhmedov informed the guests about the foundation’s activities and its 11 scholarship recipients, who are currently studying at four higher education institutions in Australia.
The issues of sending two winners of the second scholarship competition in 2023 to study at the University of Sydney and providing them with additional conditions and opportunities were also discussed.
As stated, postgraduate students wishing to study at the University of Sydney will also be assisted in finding a supervisor.
Following the meeting, the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation and the University of Sydney signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. From now on, each foundation scholarship holder will receive a 20 percent discount on tuition fees.
