Eid al-Adha - integral part of the richest cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, supreme mufti

ALMATY. October 16. KAZINFORM "Qurban Ayt or Eid-al-Adha is the Muslim festival that marks the end of the pilgrimage to Makkah known as Hajj. Eid-al-Adha is also known as the Feast of Sacrifice."
"It is a time to thank the great Allah," supreme mufti, Chair of Kazakhstan Muslims' Spiritual Board and Council of Central Asian Muftis, Sheikh Absattar Haji Derbisali told today the press conference held in Almaty.
"Eid al-Adha is an integral part of the richest cultural heritage of Kazakhstan. The religious holiday, in actual fact, focuses on high ideals of moral improvement, aspiration for compassion and mercy," he added.
As earlier reported, this year Qurban Ayt falls on October 26.
