EEU Summit to discuss Kyrgyzstan accession 8 May

"The main topic will be Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. Practical difficulties came up on the way of its accession to the EEU in recent days, and it is obvious that they will be discussed during the summit," Yury Ushakov said
The president's aide explained that the Kyrgyz party suggested a number of changes to the previously agreed intergovernmental protocols. The EEU does not think they are logical, and in this regard, Kyrgyzstan's accession will no doubt be discussed.
Two protocols supplementing the agreement on the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the EEU will be signed during the summit. These documents specify the terms of the country's membership in the union: regulate the issues of trade, customs administration, transport policy, and include a list of transitional provisions and exceptions from the EEU common rules as applicable to Kyrgyzstan, BelTA reports.
The Presidents of the EEU member states also plan to discuss the macroeconomic policy for 2015-2016 and the measures to support foreign trade with third countries.
