EEU is not USSR, governor

KYZYLORDA. KAZINFORM "The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) is not the former Soviet Union," Kyzylorda region governor Krymbek Kusherbayev said taking the floor at the Kazakh-Russian-Belorussian expert forum underway in Kyzylorda.
"The economic union, to go into effect since next January 1, is the first large-scale initiative realized in the 21st century," he added. "The common goal of the EEU member states is to provide access to their markets, let businessmen work together and people choose better goods. Open policy is the global trend of our time. Kazakhstan gears its future to global economics and integration into the world security system," he stressed.
