EEС sets a quota on harvesters import to Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has set a quota for Kazakhstan on importing harvesters, this has been reported by the Acting Director of the Department for production and processing of plant products and phytosanitary security of the Ministry of Agriculture Bakhyt Ilyasov.

In 2013 the ECE introduced a quota for harvesters imported from foreign countries to the CU states. Kazakhstan's import quota amounted to 300 units of equipment which is to be brought free of duty to the territory of Kazakhstan. Eurasian Commission established the quotas volumes in accordance with the requirements of the WTO. It bears to remind that EEC established the following harvesters import quotas: 2014 - 300 units, 2015 - 309 units, and in 2016 - 204 harvesters.
